Product Questions
Non-woven polypropylene is a fabric-like material made from thermoplastic polymer fibers that are bonded together through heat, pressure, or chemical treatment — rather than being woven or knitted. The result is a lightweight, breathable, and durable sheet that feels like fabric but is produced more efficiently and cost-effectively than traditional textiles. It is the most common material used for reusable promotional and retail bags.
Standard non-woven PP is water-resistant but not fully waterproof. It can repel light moisture and splashes, but liquid will eventually seep through under sustained exposure. For full waterproofing, we can apply a PP or PE lamination layer on the surface, or add a waterproof inner coating. This is ideal for bags used in wet climates or for carrying items that need moisture protection.
We typically offer 60 gsm, 80 gsm, 100 gsm, and 120 gsm as standard options.
- 60–80 gsm: Lightweight, cost-effective, ideal for promotional giveaways.
- 100 gsm: Mid-weight, the most popular choice for retail shopping bags.
- 120 gsm: Heavy-duty, stiffer structure, suitable for premium gift bags or heavier loads.
Custom GSM can also be arranged for large-volume orders.
Yes. Non-woven PP bags are reusable and serve as a practical alternative to single-use plastic bags. Their environmental benefit depends on reuse frequency — studies indicate they should be reused at least 11 times to outperform conventional HDPE plastic bags in terms of carbon footprint. However, standard PP is not biodegradable, so responsible recycling at end-of-life is important. We also offer recycled PP (rPP) options to further reduce environmental impact
For example, lightweight bags used for trade shows or promotions are ideal for brochures, gifts, or light products. Heavier-duty reusable shopping bags with stronger stitching, box bottoms, or cross-stitched handles are better suited for groceries, packaging, and repeated daily use.
As a professional non-woven bag manufacturer, we can recommend the best fabric weight and bag structure based on your intended application, ensuring the right balance between durability, cost, and performance.
Yes. Polypropylene is a thermoplastic with recycling code #5, meaning it can be melted down and reformed into new plastic products such as bins, automotive parts, or packaging materials. Recycling infrastructure varies by country, so we recommend checking local facilities. For B2B clients, we can include recycling symbols and instructions on the bag or packaging to encourage proper disposal.
Absolutely. We can manufacture non-woven bags using recycled polypropylene (rPP) sourced from post-industrial or post-consumer waste. Typical rPP content ranges from 30% to 100%, depending on your target market requirements and budget. rPP bags may have a slightly different texture or color consistency compared to virgin PP, which we can discuss during sampling.
Standard virgin non-woven PP material is generally compliant with REACH and the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). However, compliance also depends on:
- Printing inks: We use eco-friendly, non-toxic inks.
- Lamination films: OPP/PE films need to meet specific migration limits.
- Additives: Color masterbatches and UV stabilizers must be REACH-compliant.
We can provide compliance declarations and arrange third-party testing (SGS, Intertek, Bureau Veritas) if required for your market.
Standard PP non-woven bags cannot biodegrade — they can persist in landfills for 20–30 years. If you require biodegradable or compostable bags, we can produce alternatives using:
- PLA (polylactic acid)— compostable in industrial facilities.
- PBAT blends— biodegradable under specific conditions.
- Oxodegradable additives— though these are increasingly restricted in markets like the EU.
The weight capacity of a non-woven shopping bag depends on several factors, including the fabric GSM, bag size, handle construction, and stitching quality.
In general, standard reusable non-woven bags can typically carry between 5–15 kg (11–33 lbs).
For lightweight promotional bags, lower GSM materials are suitable for carrying brochures, clothing, or small retail items.
Heavier-duty non-woven bags with reinforced handles and higher GSM fabric are better suited for groceries, packaging, and daily shopping use.
As a professional non-woven bag manufacturer, we can recommend the right material thickness and construction based on your product weight and usage requirements to ensure durability and long-term reusability.
Non-woven PP bags are significantly more durable than single-use plastic or paper bags, but generally less rugged than heavy cotton canvas.
Depending on the GSM (grams per square meter), our non-woven bags can comfortably carry 5 kg to 15 kg. For everyday retail, promotional events, or grocery shopping, they offer excellent longevity at a much lower cost point than canvas. With proper care, they can be reused 50+ times.
Yes. Non-woven PP bags can be wiped clean with a damp cloth or gently hand-washed in cold water. We do not recommend machine washing, as agitation can weaken the bonded fibers and distort the shape. Laminated bags are even easier to clean — simply wipe the surface. Always air-dry; do not tumble dry or iron.
Customization & Production
Yes. We provide fully customized non-woven bags and PP woven bags based on your branding and packaging requirements. You can customize the bag size, material color, handle type, printing design, fabric GSM, and finishing details to match your specific needs.
We support various customization options, including custom logo printing, different handle styles, laminated or non-laminated finishes, zipper or button closures, gussets, and reinforced stitching.
We offer several printing options tailored to your design and budget:
- Screen Printing: Most cost-effective for 1–3 solid colors. Best for simple logos and text.
- Heat Transfer Printing: Good for multi-color designs with gradients or fine details.
- Lamination + CMYK Printing: Full-color photographic-quality printing on a laminated surface. Ideal for complex artwork and premium retail bags.
- UV Printing: Optional for special effects or small-batch customization.
We can recommend the best method based on your artwork and target price point.
Our minimum order quantity (MOQ) depends on the bag type, material, size, printing method, and customization requirements. In general, the MOQ for custom non-woven bags and PP woven bags starts from 3,000 pieces, while some standard designs or simple printing options may support lower quantities.
If you share your bag specifications, logo artwork, size, quantity, and intended application, our team can recommend the most suitable production solution and provide an accurate quotation based on your project needs.
Yes, we can match Pantone colors for both non-woven fabric and webbing handles. However, because non-woven fabric is dyed in bulk using color masterbatches (rather than fabric dyeing), there is a small tolerance for color variance (typically within ΔE 1.5–2.0). For critical brand colors, we always produce lab-dip swatches for your approval before bulk production.
Our capabilities cover a wide range of non-woven bag styles:
- Tote bags(with or without gusset)
- Foldable/shopping bags(with button or zipper pouch)
- Drawstring backpacks
- Insulated cooler bags(with aluminum foil lining)
- Wine bottle bags
- Garment/suit bags
- Laminated glossy gift bags
- Custom-shaped bags(with die-cutting)
OEM and ODM designs are both welcome — send us your sketch or reference sample, and our team will assess feasibility.
Yes. We offer full branding customization including:
- Woven labels(sewn into the bag interior or exterior)
- Printed care labels / main labels
- Hang tags(paper or cardboard)
- Rubber/PU patches
- Zipper puller branding(if applicable)
These details help elevate the perceived value of promotional bags into genuine retail products.
For standard non-woven bag styles, sampling takes 5–7 working days after artwork and specifications are confirmed.
Yes, we charge a sample fee that covers materials, labor, and printing plate/die costs. The fee is refundable or deductible against your first bulk order (typically for orders above a certain threshold). For plain samples without printing, the fee is lower. We always quote the sample cost transparently before starting.
After sample approval and deposit receipt, bulk production typically takes 25–35 days. This varies based on:
- Order quantity
- Current production schedule / seasonality
- Complexity of printing and finishing
We recommend planning 6–8 weeks from order confirmation to delivery for standard sea freight.
We implement multi-stage quality control:
- Incoming material inspection: GSM, color, and tensile strength verification.
- In-process QC: Cutting accuracy, print registration, and sewing consistency checked during production.
- Final inspection: AQL 2.5 standard sampling for dimensions, stitching strength, print quality, and overall appearance.
- Packing check: Carton weights, shipping marks, and quantity verification.
- In-house lab testing for Physical performance: we conduct physical testing such as Seam strength, handle pull strength, load capacityand so on in our lab in-house.
We welcome client inspections or third-party audits at any stage.
As above explained, we ensure product quality through a strict multi-step quality control process before shipment. Every batch of non-woven bags and PP woven bags is inspected at different production stages, including raw material selection, printing quality, stitching, and final packaging.
Our QC team checks key factors such as fabric strength, GSM consistency, printing accuracy, color matching, handle reinforcement, and overall workmanship. Any defective or inconsistent products are removed before packing to ensure only qualified goods are shipped.
Absolutely. We support:
- Buyer inspection: You or your representative can visit the factory before shipment.
- Third-party inspection: SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek, or other agencies can conduct pre-shipment inspection (PSI) on your behalf.
